DOLL #11 - Heinrich Handwerck
his 15-inch antique doll, attributed to Heinrich Handwerck and dating to approximately 1900, features large blue sleep eyes, delicately painted brows, rosy cheeks, and an open mouth showing upper teeth. The doll wears an antique off-white dress with lace trim and a soft pink ribbon accent, complemented by a dark brown curled wig adorned with a pink bow. The gentle expression and classic styling give the doll exceptional display appeal.
The doll has an excellent head, while the body shows some paint touch-ups. Notes indicate the sleep eyes remain functional and that paint restoration is present on portions of the body. The doll displays beautifully, with the face, wig, and costume presenting very well overall. Family records indicate it was purchased on eBay in 2014 for $420.
