DOLL #35 - Belton-Type Bisque Doll

This charming antique German bisque doll dates to the 1890s and stands approximately 12½ inches tall. She features the classic closed-mouth expression prized by collectors, with delicately painted features, rosy cheeks, and dark sleep eyes. Her elegant peach silk dress is richly decorated with lace trim, pleated detailing, and ribbon accents, creating a refined late-Victorian presentation.

The doll wears a long brown wig styled in cascading curls, complementing the soft peach tones of her costume. Black buckle shoes and period undergarments complete the ensemble. The overall appearance is graceful and sophisticated, representative of the fine cabinet dolls popular during the closing years of the nineteenth century.

Condition: Good antique condition with some wear visible on the hands. Family records indicate a replacement component, though the doll displays beautifully.

Family Records: Purchased through eBay in 2012 for $1,100. No accompanying paperwork noted.
