DOLL #41 - Armand Marseille

Antique German bisque doll by Armand Marseille, marked "Armand Marseille Germany 390 A 7/0M," dating from approximately 1915–1930. This attractive 12-inch doll is dressed in a traditional red and black folk-style costume featuring a bright red skirt, checked bodice, embroidered shoulder accents, and a black bonnet. The catalog notes list the doll in Excellent condition. The doll features sleep eyes, though family records indicate the mechanism does not move completely freely.

Visible features include brown sleep eyes, rosy cheeks, an open mouth with visible teeth, and brown hair styled in a long braid extending from beneath the black bonnet. The colorful folk dress presents beautifully, with strong contrast between the red skirt, black apron, and embroidered details. The doll displays well and retains a charming regional costume appearance.
