DOLL #28 - Belton-type

This 14-inch German bisque doll is identified in family records as a Belton-type example and dates to the 1890s. Marked "137," she has dark sleep eyes, a delicately painted face, and a blonde wig beneath an elaborate light brown bonnet trimmed with lace. Her matching light brown couture-style dress features pleating, decorative buttons, and extensive lace accents, creating a refined late nineteenth-century presentation.

Condition is noted as excellent overall. Family records indicate a replacement component, though the doll displays beautifully and retains strong visual appeal. Acquired through eBay in 2013 for $729.99.
